I want to extract financial data from web pages that is updated real
time (stock quotes etc). I want to do this from varying websites.
Most of these sites use a flash or java frontend with the data being
passed to it from the server. Data is often past via sockets and some
times encrpted and then displayed with a scroll bar.

Is there any reliable methods of extracting the data with Character
recognition or any windows calls. ?
