Hi,
I have two versions of the same project which I want to save in VSS.
The new version of this project has some files being added, modified
and deleted from the previous version.
When I check out the previous version and check in the new version in
the same project folder in VSS. The added files in the new version do
not get created (added) automatically. Also, the deleted files from
previous version are still visible with checked out status. VSS just
displays an error message "Not Found" for each new file in the new
version which is not there in the old version.
Is there a way to have both versions saved in the same folder in VSS
with each new file being added and each old file being deleted?
I tried to manually delete those files from the project tree which are
not there in the new version, after checkin the new version.
But when I try to extract the previous version of this project using
the "Show History" command I dont get the manually deleted files back.
Can someone help me solve this mystery?
In case some more clarification can help, please let me know.
Thanks
Nitu
