I think the TIOBE rankings are implausibly volatile. I doubt that
between summer 2004 and March 2005, the market share of C++ has really
dropped 33%, from about 15% to 10%, as a graph at
http://www.sebastian-bergmann.de/blog/archives/380-TIOBE-Programming-Community-Index.html
indicates.
