College

Hey, I'm a junior in high school and it's about time to start choosing
colleges. My problem is that I just cannot find the college that's
right for me. Now, I've viewed previous posts and pretty much all the
responses say Caltech, MIT, Berkeley, etc. The thing is that I do not
have a lot of money. What I do have is potential. I started off with
BASIC on an old 68k Mac when I was about 12, then moved I to Java on a
PC, then C++, and now I use C# .NET for most of my programs. It feels
like I'm going to have to goto (pun) one of my crappy local colleges
like UWM or something just to get a mediocre CS degree. Do you guys
have any recommendations for cheap colleges that are known for
programming? I have a 3.75 cumulative GPA right now, but I'm willing
to bet I can bring it up to at least a 3.8 before I'm a senior. Also,
my school (Riverside University High School in Milwaukee, WI) has a
program with the local college so that students can take a class or two
during the school day for free. Could this possibly help me get into a
better (more expensive) college?
.
