Thanks to all who posted so far. In my experience here a Cert (however
cheaply achieved) goes a long way with employers. I think I'll study
the basics of Java first and meanwhile check the job ads.
There's an architecture called Websphere which transcends the mainframe
world, isn't that written in Java?
