None are really weird - they just have different attitudes. For
example, the HP3000 running MPX used names of the form
<idacct>.<idgroup>.<idfname>. All the various <ids> could be 8
char. alfanumeric, and I believe had to start with an alfa, just
like most language ids. The periods separated the fields, and
omitted fields defaulted to logged in account and groups. Other
systems may force you to specify device ids.
