Serial port raw character I/O

Hi folks.

Suse 10.0

I wonder if anyone could please direct me to a file/info on the
termios.h c_cc control character definition array & related stuff. The
Linux HowTo's don't quite tell me what I think I need.

I thought I had serial port comms for my app-in-progress under control
with clearing the ICANON/ECHOE stuff, but the serial port still filters
out ctl-c's & ctl-z's etc. (I am sending/receiving binary data.)
