Any reason should we trust you enough to install this driver with

Of course, programmers do always trust source codes.
Sad but true. In theory, programmers should only trust source code
that's obviously correct. ;)
But if I upload the source code, crackers will benefit from it and
developers must modify it. That will bring trouble to developers who
are not experts of security.
Um... And you /are/ an "expert of security"?[1] I hardly think so.
Besides, your website already claims to grant permission for anyone
"to alter and redistribute" the software; aren't you just making it
harder for legitimate users to do that, if you only give out the
binary, not the commented high-level source code?
Unfortunately, without a device driver, we can not get the read-only
hard drive and mainboard serial numbers.
Here's where my ignorance comes in: I understand that you can't read
manufacturer-specific information off the hard drive without a manufacturer-specific device driver... but surely that's irrelevant,
right? You're not the one writing device drivers, and you don't generally have to run in (kernel/trusted/administrator) mode to use an existing
device driver's API, right? So that's not really an answer to Roger's
question.
BTW, do you actually use the drive letters G: and J: for everyday work?
What ever happened to C:? :)

[1] - The correct English would be "security expert," or possibly
"expert on [not 'of'] security." Correct natural language is important,
if you expect people to believe that you can use artificial languages
correctly. (BTW, is your native language Chinese?)
