(GSView). Who do you want to make it more popular for, everybody or

Good question. Probably "students and scientists" covers almost all
people who would be likely to have an interest in what I Web-publish,
but if switching from PDF to PostScript is meant as a political
statement of sorts, then I guess the answer is "everybody".

Only one viewer for Windows, huh? Wow. Well, one is enough,
I guess, and that makes it easy ....


I found another one, but I have no idea how it is
(http://www.rops.org/). I use gsview under Windows and there are a lot
of choices on UNIX. I think people favor pdf also for being smaller. I
know that ps files were usually provided as gzipped files
(<filename>.ps.gz) to make them smaller. There is another format that
minimizes the size of a file for online viewing, it's called DJVU and
the software is available as both a browser plugin and as a standalone
application http://www.djvuzone.org/. I don't use it because I don't
think that it's too widespread.
