Not here it doesn't (and I am using bash, with autocompletion).
Something similar might work on other shells as well.
asterisk-tab-tab (no slash) also lists directories in bash. I've no idea
why.
Hmmm. Not in my bash it doesn't. And I've no idea why, either!
Possibly because it's an ancient bash, dating from 2000 or so.
