Wrong on both counts. You might see some speed differences on a
benchmark, but for the kind of application you're talking about, I
very much doubt anyone will notice.
I did some tests some time ago and C# was really faster at crunching
numbers (things like working with jagged arrays, solving matrices,
etc...). But Java may have become faster lately, I don't know.
How about the other 1% of the time?
What if you expand your audience?
I'll consider it if the effort is more or less the same, for sure.
