.indd .cpt .psd .ps .eps .ai file formats help need

sorry for my bad english

I try to generate miniatures/thumbnails (in c# language) from this

(raster (?) formats)
..indd Adobe In Design File Format
..cpt Corel Photo Paint
..psd Adobe Photoshop

(postscript formats)
..ps Adobe Post Script
..eps Encapsuleted PostScript
..ai Adobe Ilustrator (subset of PostScript as far as i know)

files. Recommended is to extract thumbnails which may be internally
stored in files (but i do not know exactly in wchich they can be inside
- i think they are in .ai and in .eps and maybe in .ps too ) But maybe
I can also try to convert .indd .cpt .psd internally to a bitmap
and do Reasample on it. (I use AtalaDotImage .net library but those
formats above are not encoded by it)

In postscript formats there are probably tifs or tif parts inside (i
have found
in one of .ai file i was tryin to analise a 3x256 palette data bytes
and block
seem to be a pixelmap treated by RLE compression ) but it is obscure
to me. PS have good but big documentation and my time is of course
limited my lack of knowledge and energy also did not help me.

So any help (sugesstions, links) is needed.

As to .indd .cpt and .psd i was searching the net a couple of hours and
i
did not find this format specifications - as far as i know from this
reading
..cpt and .eps at least are prioprietary (like corel .cdr)
but it should be not forbidden reading from it and converting it to a
bitmap
for example.
