Cookies

Some of our customers are having problems logging into our web site.
Once they login it puts a cookie in their browser to stay logged in.
Every few hundred people that log in, their computer does not
recognize or deletes the cookie. It seems to work or stay on their
computer if they are under the secure portion of our web site. It
doesn't seem to be their internet browser, usually it is a security
program that is doing it. But they are able to log into other sites
that require cookies with no problem. Does anyone know what could be
wrong that is causing this?
