I have written a library of statistical functions in C. I would like to correspond privately with a C programmer with expertise in statistics who would be willing to advise me and critique my work. Please reply here if you are interested.
I guess the willingness of others to help you depends greatly on your
purpose with the library. If you plan to keep the code to yourself
and/or want to sell the result, you can't expect anybody to help you for
free. On the other hand, if you consider releasing the source under some
kind of public license, others might be interested in helping you just
for the fun of it.
It's a student project and, of course, a reinvention of the wheel. I don't have the slightest intention of making any money from it and would be perfectly willing to place it in the public domain or release it to anyone who is interested. I'm not trying to get something for nothing, just thought somebody might be interested in mentoring a learner.
