No, you don't. It was available on the "AV" Macintoshes ("AV" meaning
"audiovisual", basically equating to Motorola 680x0 machines with a
DSP chip in them) with Mac OS 8, back in about 1995 or 1996. Actually,
it may have been Mac OS 7.x even.
