I was just wondering what type of music you think is best for
concentrating while coding. I would imagine it is something without
vocals, but, beyond that, I'm not sure.
The sound of silence really disturbs me, it seems to me everyday sounds only
sound louder!
Music-wise, I really do like the heavy guitar work (americana, metal oldies)
and the occasional gothic, but that distracts way too much (try coding with
your head a-bobbin'). So I usually turn to the radio, on a soft station with
some 80s and 90s music, and don't turn it on too loud. If that makes it
sound like shopping mall muzak -- I guess that's it!
