So technically, its not VB ...

Look man, this person no more knows what he is talking about than the man in the Moon. The big differences between VB.Net and VB is that VB.Net is an pure object orientated language and VB is not, just like VB 3, 4, 5 and 6 were different from each other in some ways but remained the same in a lot of other ways.

The big differences between C#.Net and VB.Net is C#.Net uses pointers and anonymous delegates, while VB.Net does not use them.

This NG is tainted against MS solutions period, and you're going to get bias opinions here with non MS solutions, particularly from this person you're posting to with extreme prejudice and bias against MS solutions.

I suggest that if you want an accurate opinion about VB.Net as opposed to VB, then may I suggest that you post to a MS NG at msnews.micorsoft.com to MS.public.dotnet.general or to MS.Public.dotnet.languages.vb. There are even VB6 NG(s) there as well.

I wouldn't trust anything out of someone's mouth that has not used the solution.
