Er, it's unlikely to be a Linux binary if it's an EXE file. EXE
is a CP/M, MS-DOS, and now Win32 executable file format.

used .cmd.

Gettng senile, Jack? Linux executable binaries normally have no
extension, and are made executable by a file characteristic. EXE
is a MS-DOS and Winders executable format.
