I suspect most code is slightly higher level but try searching for
source code (e.g. on Google Code and elsewhere) for ASPI. If that
doesn't help there is also a newsgroup alt.os.development. Some of the
guys there will probably have written optical disc code and may be
able to point you in the right direction.
