Thanks for the info. Building and selling products, while interesting,
seems risky. The software market seems rather saturated to me. Very
seldom do I wish for something that hasn't already been written.
In my opinion, there will always be money in the one-off projects that
small businesses need, which is why I first started to consider doing
freelance work. However, finding a good way of meeting those potential
clients is where the difficulty lies. From browsing the sites, it
seems that firms of many programmers are the ones doing the bidding,
not the individuals. That seems like a logical way to run a business,
but I was hoping to hear from people in the same situation as me.
I guess my current question still stands, but with a change:
Does anyone have any feedback for any of the freelance web sites where
they have done work as an individual coder?
