I'm assisting to recruit a Scientific Application Developer for a scientific
software company located in Toronto, Canada.

This client provides a fabulous bonus program - up to 100% of your annual
base salary. 50% of the bonus is based on company performance and 50% is
based on personal performance. The anticipated annual salary is in the range
of CA$40 - 50K per year. Relocation is available.

This very small company was formed in 1996. The group is highly educated,
very professional and have exceptional achievements. The candidate that
joins their company will have a chance to learn constantly and to be
challenged and motivated.

This client provides state-of-the-art drug discovery software for major
pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies around the world. They currently
have positions open in their Research and Development department and can
offer talented and motivated individuals highly challenging and stimulating
employment.

Main focus of the job is application software development in C+++, to
develop computational chemistry (molecular modeling) applications, that will
be built on

the top of their existing development platform using C++, CORBA,
client-server and JAVA technologies.

Skills required:

* C and C++ programming

* Strong background in discrete mathematics and graph algorithms

* Knowledge of computational geometry, numerical analysis

* Knowledge or experience with databases

* Unix and Linux application development skills

Required educational background:

* BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field

* proven academic excellence either in university-level mathematics courses
or university-level computer science courses

Desirable:

* University-level chemistry, structural biology or physics courses

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Familiar with CORBA distributed technology

Additional nice to have:

* Experience in commercial software development

* Experience in scientific programming, computational sciences or molecular
modeling

* Expertise in 3D graphics and graphical user interface design

* Knowledge of bioinformatics or cheminformatics
