> The specific error that Turing made...
Do you _REALLY_ seriously think a genius like Alan Turing made a mistake and
that no one has noticed that mistake for 67 years (despite the fact that
Turing's machine has been discussed at length by serious mathematicians in
that time), and you, Peter Olcott, are the first to have spotted this in all
this time? How likely is that???
And everyone in this newsgroup has also failed to grasp what you are saying?
And considering what you are saying is so simple - how likely is it that no
one has understood you?
That is the amazing arrogance. No doubt, if God was around, he could benefit
from Peter Olcott's advice.
Isn't much more likely that you have misunderstood Turing's Halting problem?
And that is much more likely, because from the material you have posted,
you don't understand "Reductio ad absurdum" or what logical implication
means. If you don't understand elementary logic, what chance is there that
you have understood _PROPERLY_, anything more complex?
I also remember your spurious claims on FastString (as does Google). I
still don't see a conforming drop-in-replacement for std::string or
std::wstring in C++.
I am amazed that the good folks of comp.theory and sci.logic have the
patience to waste their time with you.
