    I don't think politics can be reasoned to agreement because it
    reduces to values, values are the product of experience, and
    experience obtains undue value. Also, without good empirical
    tests, politics lends itself to unobjectivity. Einstein's more
    extreme views may have been in reaction to right-wing politics in
    Germany, for instance.

    In physics, which has good tests enforcing objective thinking, I
    believe his reasoning would be different. So I make a distinction
    between reasoning in the two areas. A clear genius in one, and
    perhaps no better than most of us in the other.

    I understand that he turned down the job of President of Isreal,
    saying he wasn't qualified.
