Well, the light tone of the Bringsjord article might lead one to believe
that it's all in jest, although personally I would have gone for
over-the-top seriousness if I were trying to write a P vs. NP parody. I
almost believed it was a joke, myself. But then I noticed on Bringsjord
home page that right under a link to the P=NP article, he has a link to
the article "The modal argument for hypercomputing minds", which has the
same kind of tortured logic and mishmashed arguments (although in a more
serious treatment). So if the P=NP paper is intended as a joke, perhaps
he is parodying himself.
