The biological version of data compression is probably a delta compression
scheme where the amount of reference data is not well known as also the
impact of the reference data on the finished product. Similar one can argue,
that understanding of the behaviour of one single atom is sufficient to
understand the behaviour of the entire Universe. This kind of reasoning
appears to me as unconvincingly.
