trivial matterrs to beginners that have gone through a few
fundamentals in my area of expertise (OR)...
Why then don't you start a discussion about your paper in the group
sci.op-research?
My papers have been available online, and anyone in any community is
free to comment on it. I have not seen on sci.op-research, and I do not
feel the need to sollicit any.
OR group is more "pragmatic" than comp.theory, i.e. more oriented
towards pracice (as the whole OR as discipline).
May be. But, I believe the theory part of OR is as deep as in any other
sub-field of mathematics. A big difference I have seen so far is in the
general culture: in the OR community, people would typically refrain
from making judgments on anything unless they are confident of their
mastery of the topic in question... Even, across sub-specializations.
That is reason for my earlier reactions to comments from this people in
this group: Some of the comments looked malicious because of extent of
"clueless babble" couple with absolute "deafness" in relation to basic
concepts! ...Just like what this current thread has turned into.
Why don't you submit your paper to a more convenient journal?
I did not submitted to any comp theory journal, nor did I introduce my
work in this discussion group.
Legitimate question. Why not to publish in reputable journal where
review process is strict and serious?...
The review process is still going on.
