Same holds for creating ASCII art. First you may need to draw the
vector graphic, then calculate (either manually or by computer) the
discrete version for every detail.

This is like an NPC problem for humans in which it is very easy for
humans to "evaluate a solution" but very hard for humans to "construct
a solution".
