Hi.
I do not want to seem lazy, but I was wondering if you could help my search
for a nice database I could use in future projects I am thinking of.
If have been searching through many websites and google for this and
although I have seen dozens of databases such as XL2 and eXist I'm not sure
if they meet my requirements.
Here are my needs :
- Free for educational and commercial use
- Open Source (Java)
- Embedded
- Object orientated
- Able to query the database, preferably by implementing W3C DOM, XPath and
XQuery
- Reasonably fast by using indexes
- Able to store large files of binary data (50MB data per object)
- Able to store a large volume of (small) objects (100000 objects)
Which database do you think comes closest to my needs?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Rob.
