Error:org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver

Hi all,
I've tried to connect to mysql database in a java program.
But it is showing error for the following line
Class.forName("org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver").newInstance();
and i am getting error:
ERROR IN DRIVER:org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver
through catch statement.
can anyone help me?
