If you're having trouble connecting to a MySQL database, try the steps in
this document:

It contains the steps needed to successfully connect, as well as sample
code.

Also, please try and post some of your code or efforts you've taken so
far, because it will be a lot easier for us to help you. "It does not
work" is very vague, so if we are able to see the error or problem for
ourselves, it will enable us to help you a lot faster.
