I have this problem:

I am using Eclipse as development for java web apps. I am using Oracle
10g as back end specifically Oracle Toad 8 for handling db. I am using
Eclipse BIRT ( business intelligent reporting tools ) for report
generation.

Upon testing the connection for the Data Source in database, the reply
is this:

" IO Exception : The Network Adapter could not the establish the
connection. "

Any suggestion or help is most welcome ... ?

I too have this problem. Please let me know. I am able to connect to
9i database but not 10g R2. I also tried all possible Oracle latest
