There is no indication of Apache Derby in [Plug-in details] nor anywhre
else.

I can do the simple 'hello world" example, so I assume that the basic system
is OK.

I have D:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_02 in preferemces, [Installed jre]

As I said: I'm not an eclipse user myself, so I don't really know how
to interpret this.

And I don't think it is a good idea for me to act as a manual mail-to-news
gateway, so it is probably better if you ask your questions directly
to the derby-user list.
