I don't see the advantage over JDBC.

Thanks everybody for the feedback. I was hoping for something else,
like reliability,
known problems, etc. I wonder if it works correctly.

I'd like to avoid GPL-ed MySQL JDBC drivers for the start. I might
have other uses in the future.
