You shoumd point your browser to : http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/

    >From Sun's website I copied this for you :

The JavaMail API requires JDK/JRE 1.1.x or higher. We have tested this
implementation with Sun Microsystems JDK 1.1.6 through JDK 1.1.7 on Solaris
SPARC, Microsoft Windows 95/NT, and RedHat Linux 4.2. We have also tested
with the Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition (J2SE SDK) versions 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4
on Solaris SPARC. The JavaMail APIs are a Java optional package, they are
not part of the core J2SE but are included in J2EE. See
http://java.sun.com/j2se for more information about JDK 1.1 and J2SE.

Hope this clarifies things for you,
    Brgds Herman
