    Hello,

I put a java webstart application on a web site which uses Tomcat5 as
the web server. If I do not add access control to the web site, I can
open the webstart application with NS, IE6, FireFox without any
    problem.

After I add access control to the web site, NS and FireFox have no
problem to open the webstart application, though I need to type in the
user/password for the 2nd time to get authenticated, this is a minor
issue, I can live with it for the timebeing.

The big problem is, I could not open the webstart application from IE.
IE expects a .jnlp file in the "Temporary Internet Files" directory,
but there is not such a file there.

If I deploy this same java webstart application to iplanet web server
with access control, IE works just fine to open it. And I can find the
.jnlp file in the "Temporary Internet Files" directory.

(I do not actually have the .jnlp file, I have a jsp file generating
the JNLP tagged content for the webstart application.)
