Mr. anonymous 1337 Mhaxxor, would you please at least get your
terminology right?

No, it doesn't come with any Java at all at the moment. It once came
with a now outdated 1.1.x VM with incompatible Microsoft extensions.

IE never had 1.4. It had an old, outdated 1.1.x VM, which Microsoft does
not ship any more. Microsoft just bought the right from Sun to "support"
existing installations for some more time - for Microsoft's idea of
support (fix the most obvious and most negative-PR creating bugs when MS
feels like it).

Microsoft has declared their own VM obsolete. If you don't trust us,
take it directly form the horse's mouth:

http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/java/

"Customers are encouraged to take proactive measures to stay informed
about obsolete software and move away from the MSJVM in a timely
fashion. The MSJVM is no longer available for distribution from
Microsoft and there will be no enhancements to the MSJVM."

[...]

"The following vendors offer alternative JRE solutions:"
[...]
        "Sun Microsystems"

You could not remove "IE Java 1.4" because there is no such thing. There
was never such a thing. There was a 1.1.x Microsoft VM which Microsoft
doesn't ship any more.

IE does not come with any Java version any more. IE once supported a now
outdated 1.1.x VM with incompatible extensions. No, IE Java 1.1. support
is not "good". It is non-existing. I wouldn't call that good support.

The 1.1.x Microsoft VM was !@#$%^&* (IE is !@#$%^&*, the biggest
security risk ever, but that's another issue). The VM is no longer
shipped by Microsoft at all.

You already force Java on the, which doesn't come with IE any more. And
I bet you also force IE on them by providing web pages which are only
usable in IE (marked with a stupid "best viewed in IE 6.0 or newer" banner).

In case you decide to remove Microsoft's obsolete 1.1 VM from your
windows version you have been advised not to use the tool as provided by
Microsoft for this task, because it creates problems when you want to
install another up-to-date VM. Andrew has offered you a tool to remove
the VM in a saver manner. You failed to comprehend this.
