I'm using Java 1.4.1. So perhaps its a bug in the 1.5 beta? I don't
use beta software without good reason, especially development
software.
Still, have you eliminated the possibility that your calculations are
incorrect? They definitely were in the program you posted. Perhaps
under 1.5 the viewport won't scroll to negative coordinates. Try using
some hardcoded values for the rectangle you pass to
scrollRectToVisible just to see if scrolling works at all.
