"java applet window" in JMenu

In our applet, using Java Plug-in 1.4.2_06, we are seeing
"Java Applet Window" at the bottom of JMenu areas and also
at the bottom of JPopupMenus. Using the same applet served
up by the same server, this message is NOT showing up in most
browsers, but IS showing up sporadically in a few of them.

The message also shows up at the bottom of JDialogs, and that's
OK, but having it in each JMenu seems excessive.

I'm thinking this is some kind of browser setting, or system
security setting, rather than something that's being done inside
the Java code we have written. Does anybody have an idea of
what causes this message to appear? Thanks.
