See question 1. I can get neither the tabbed panes nor scrolled pane
to work. I think this may be my inability to visualize how these
would look as I am designing them in the IDE. I was able to force
a scroll bar in, but it wouldn't auto-size to the frame. I'll have
to try a few more permutations.

This was an attempt to identify the problem. Why do the letters get
shifted and chopped off -- whether the fixed Font is used or not. In
both 1.5 and 1.4.2 when running on my platform (and others), it does not
get chopped off.
