Increasing height of Tabs in JTabbedPane

hi,
i'm developing a touch screen based application in Swing in which i
need to place a JTabbedPane. The tab head (where we click to make that
tab visible), should be at least 50 pixels high so that people can
easily touch it. Now the wodth of the tab head gets adjusted with the
label there. Is there any way to set the height of the Tab head. Please
advice and thanks in advance
