I have a JTable with a JHeader.

A what? there is no such thing as a JHeader in the J2SE.

but the margin of the text I put in the header looks greater and I want
to know what it is.

If your header is in fact a javax.swing.JTableHeader,
which inherets from javax.swing.JComponent, you might try..
<http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/javax/swing/JComponent.html#getInsets()>

OTOH, if you are indeed using a custom 'JHeader'
class, I cannot help you without further information.
