Could someone point me to where I could read some basics
regarding the algorithms (non language or system specific)
used to manage the display of windows on a screen.
I imagine that there are some algoritms which keep records
for each window containing fields for the co-ords, size
of window etc and then links these together in a list
which is ordered , sorted , updated according to movement
of windows on screen, creation/deletion of windows
I would appreciate any help in finding docs / articles
on the web which discuss something like this
