J2SE 1.4 Solaris window always on top

I've found some ways to have a window in Windows be always on top
through JNI, but I am looking to have an app have the windows always
on top under Solaris. I'm running JDK 1.4, and no, I can't upgrade to
1.5 due to other applications.
