Getting env. variables?

Hi Everyone,

     I have a question regarding System.getProperty(). Is there a
possible way to obtain environment variables such as PATH or
CATALINA_HOME using getProperty? If not, is there any possible way of
doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
