It's an optional add-on, deployed via Java Web Start. ;-)
(This sort of reminds me of the days when CD's were first
being used to hold documentation. At least one computer vendor,
now defunct, went whole-hog with the idea and promptly set
about putting all their manuals on CD. Yes, you guessed it:
among the CD-resident documents were the instructions for
how to launch the CD-reading document browser. Also the
"How To Set Up Your New Machine" document ...)
