Yep, the expiration was no problem (worked for me), neither were the
html verification errors. And AFAIK popup blockers only "attack" browser
windows, not a Java window launched from an applet.

Andrew, though, had the problem that the applet's certificate could *not
be verified* (on my browser it was valid beacuse it could be "traced
back" to a cert of VeriSign). Maybe Andrew could check the Java console
messages and see if they are similar to what you saw.
