You are being advised by idiots. You do not require a
GUI for this project, it could be run from the command line.

Further, if it requires both a GUI and that it run as a standalone
program, a Frame will be just as good.

required a GUI and *hire* A Java programmer?

I think you need to wake up and smell the roses.

Nobody here believes you are a teacher. Most people see
you as a cheating student who is not even good at that.

So either
a) Get serious and start to learn Java, or..
b) Stop wasting our bandwidth.

And if you truly are a maths teacher with staff, how *dare*
you come to this Java group to ask for 'freebies', do you teach for
free? Do your 'staff' do what they do, for no money?
