Hardly a Java question, but I'll try my luck.
I've just installed JDK (JDK-1_5_0_04-windows-i586-p.exe) on a Windows XP machine; or thought that I did. 'java'(.exe) is there in the relevant \bin directory. But no 'javac'? Am I going mad?
TIA,
Jon C.
Jon:
You need to add the compiler bin to your path:
C:\progra~1\Java\jdk1.5.0_04\bin
in my XP installation.
