NIO for J2ME?

I was informed that NIO does not come default with J2ME-CDC.
Does anyone have any solution if I needed to use an application
that utilized the NIO API to be compiled for the iPaq for instance.
There might be third parties that have ported NIO to the J2ME-CDC,
or if not is there any reference for me to port an optional package
such as the NIO to J2ME-CDC?

Thanks for any tips.
