cookie + session + data save

Hello to all,
Mine problem is following: I would have to safe some
information on of the customers in order then using later on, thought to use
the cookie and/or the sessions, the fact is that after to have read a po of
documentation to care I have learned to use them but, me escapes the way to
insert information, type xml, within to they.
We take the cookie: I create it but, then I have inasmuch as us I can put a
name value and to the maximum a field exists comment but, I can insert them
to us, and in that way, tag xml? why, in according to access, I could
recover the information from the cookie on the customer and these me
serivebbe in order to authenticate it also in other services and to make to
communicate them between they but, this is not imported :)
Or there are the sessions and them me but the information on the customer on
the serveur but, also like I make to insert give them to you type xml in
order then to use dom or sax?
